One area of functionality all websites should have at their core, is the content management system (CMS). The CMS is like an eco-system for a website, delivering the design, layout, content and function. This is why we believe using the right CMS is vitally important to the success of any web or on-line project, and choosing the right CMS must be driven by a range of factors, from the features and functionality of your on-line requirements, through to how you as a client want to manage your content and on-line presence. The selection also needs to include the type of technology and platform you to use to support the CMS rather than driving you down a particular technology or platform. All of this does become complex, very quickly. Which is why we've chosen not to align ourselves to any single CMS but to identify and develop the specialist capability for what we see as the preeminent open source CMS platforms. These are Drupal, SilverStripe and OutPostCMS all of these products are open source, have a huge following and are actively maintained and developed. Of course we do use others, as its your requirements that are paramount to us, not the underlying technology, but these are the three we recommend as they provide a wide range of features, functionality and complexity.
