  • At Samdog before we start any project we ask ourselves four key questions:
    Audience - who is this for?
    Site Function - what does it do for the audience?
    Interaction - what story are we trying to tell?
    - what conversation are we trying to start?

    Answers to these questions become the basis of our understanding of every project we undertake, regardless of client or brand. Technology limitations should never enter into the equation until we have a solid understanding of the underlying conversation.

    Technology is the means of delivery, it's the enabler, and it provides minimal value without a vibrant underlying concept.

    We approach all interactive design with a Big Idea. It's far easier to edit our ideas down to make them functional than it is to shoehorn them into existing functionality. Our philosophy is that, if you brew your hot chocolate too strong, you can always add milk, but weak chocolate remains sad and insipid.

    For Samdog all interactive design is driven by adaption, experimentation and innovation.
